She began work before graduating at a North Sydney based Pre Press Bureau where it was her job to put together the photography department. The work was purely commercial based and concentrated on products and packaging\, all the while working in the background on her own wedding photography business. \n\n\n\nIn the year 2000 Kylie decided to take the plunge and become self employed as a wedding photographer. With her husband Peter they purchased a church and Hall built in 1884 and 1839 and called the site “The Old St Thomas Chapel” thus creating a unique niche market with their heritage wedding Chapel – The only one of its kind in Sydney. \n\n\n\nStill concentrating on mainly weddings Kylie’s photography business started to grow into the portrait market as previous clients began to have families. \n\n\n\nToday Kylie concentrates more on commercial assignments again\, enjoying the freedom of all genres of photography that come through her door. She is known for her food photography and shoots regularly for local magazines\, she is also concentrating on art inspired portraits. \n\n\n\nKylie joined the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) in late 1999. Immediately she volunteered her services to the New South Wales (NSW) State Council to be their newsletter editor. This resulted in a position being offered on the Council – which she held for 10 years\, the last 5 being in the office of NSW State President. \n\n\n\nIn 2010 Kylie volunteered her services to the National AIPP Board and in 2012 was elected as the National AIPP President. In 2014 she was in the role of National Chairman and remained on the Board until 2018. \n\n\n\nKylie is a Master of Photography with 1 gold bar with the AIPP\, and has achieved a Master of Photography with NZIPP – The New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography. \n\n\n\nKylie is the current Australasian Governing Committee member of the World Photographic Cup Committee \nhttp://www.handprint.net.au \n… \n\n\nChris Shain MAICD\, APPL AAIPP HonLM\nChris Shain is a very successful business to business photographer working on location for corporate\, industrial and architectural clients for over 35 years.\n\n\n\n\nHe started his career in the late 1970’s as assistant to several significant Advertising and Editorial photographers and was fortunate to work with iconic Australian photographer David Moore over a 10-year period who became a mentor to Chris and a major influence on his photographic and business practice. \n\n\n\nChris was the first elected president of ACMP and subsequent Chairman. He was awarded a Life membership of the AIPP in 2016 and is a current member of ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers). He was a director of the Australian Copyright Council for 8 years until 2014 and was an integral part of a team achieving amendments to the copyright act in 1998. Chris also continues to work with Government lobbying on Copyright and other legislative issues on behalf of the professional photography industry. \n\n\n\nHe is widely respected within the photographic community and over the last 20 years has spoken to many photographers’ groups\, both small and large around the world. He has been involved in federal Parliamentary enquiries\, had meetings with Law reform commissioners\, and is often interviewed by the media both in Australia and Overseas. \n\n\n\nHe has work in 2 ACMP collections\, quite a few APPA silver awards (AIPP Associate in 2010)\, has been a finalist in several Head On exhibitions and has work collected by several major corporate and cultural institutions. \n\n\n\nBut above all\, he’s passionate about making pictures! \nwww.imagesforbusiness.com.au\nwww.shain.com.au \n\n\nBROUGHT TO YOU BY YOUR NSW COUNCIL
