Astrophotography with Mark Culley
June 11 @ 4:30 pm - 9:30 pm UTC+10$5 – $10
CANCELLED due to unfavourable weather.
Love the night sky? Then come and join Mark Culley for sunset and learn the basics of astrophotography while also enjoying some social interaction. We’ve chosen Moogerah Dam picnic area as the location because of it’s breathtaking views over the dam to Main Range, and let’s not forget the wonderful Scenic Rim clear skies.
It will be cold, make sure you bring plenty of warm clothing to layer up as it starts to cool down and something to eat and drink. A chair probably wouldn’t go astray either.
• Camera (of course)
• Wide Angle Lens – the widest you have (24-70 or 16-35 are good options, if you have a wide prime then lucky you) & Lens Hood
• Cable Release (if you have one)
• Something to keep the cool air off your lens – beanie with the top cut out, heat pads to wrap around lens, hand towel
• Spare battery
