How do I make an Insurance claim?
Call PPIB (free call) on 1300 733 476 or email firstname.lastname@example.org when something happens that you believe will result in a claim being made.
What must I do when you making a claim on my equipment policy?
You must notify PPIB as soon as possible after you suffer a loss.
You must also:
1 – Take all reasonable steps to prevent any further loss from occurring.
2 – Advise the nearest police station if your property is lost or stolen, vandalised or maliciously damaged. Your insurer may ask for a written report from the police.
3 – Keep the property that has been damaged and obtain a repair report from an authorised camera repairer, to determine the extent of the damage and whether it can be repaired.
In the event of a claim, the PPIB equipment policy includes an additional benefit for the Hire of Substitute Equipment, which can be discussed with your claims consultant at the time of lodgement.
