Advice for Victorian Photographers & Video Producers

Emily Black

With the recent lockdown and restriction levels changing for regional Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne, we find ourselves again, as photographers needing to be clear on if and how we return to work.

The information is available but can be tricky to find if you don’t know where to look.

There are regular alterations and updates to directives, and they can be found on the DHHS website – Victoria’s Restriction Levels.
Specifics are updated in the Chief Health Officers directions in the drop-down menus and it is important that you stay up to date on any changes.

Stay Home Directions for Greater Melbourne and Stay Safe Directions for Regional Victoria.

Currently (at time of publication 4/6/21) Regional Victorian Photographers can return to work provided they can meet the requirements as outlined in Section 8 of the Restricted Activity Directions.

And specific exemptions relevant to our industry can be found in section 12, subclass u, outlined in the the Stay Safe Directions.

The information presented above is of a general nature for your convenience. We recommend keeping up-to-date with all restrictions through the relevant government agencies and how they may affect your business.
